Candle Care & Safety

How to Love Your Container Candle

1.TRIM THE WICK. Keep your wick trimmed to 1/4″ at all times. Trim off any mushroom top on your wick before lighting

2. KEEP IT CLEAN. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and other debris. This is dangerous and can cause excessive smoke and soot.

3. LET THE WAX POOL. Each time you burn your candle, allow the entire top layer to become a pool of melted wax. This will allow for the best fragrance throw and prevent any “memory rings”.

4. BURN IT SAFELY. Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, keep it out of drafts and NEVER leave it unattended while lit.

5. IMMEDIATELY EXTINGUISH FLAME.  If it smokes excessively or if flame touches container

6. NOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE. When only 1/2″ of wax remains, it’s time to let your candle go.

We DO NOT ADD ANY EXTRA CHEMICALS OR UV INHIBITORS TO OUR CONTAINER CANDLES. PLEASE STORE YOUR CANDLE IN A COOL DARK PLACE AWAY FROM DIRECT OR INDIRECT LIGHT TO KEEP YOUR CANDLE WHITE AND BEAUTIFUL, AS UV LIGHT CAN AFFECT THE COLOR OF YOUR CANDLE.

How to Love your Pillar Candle

1. PLEASE REMOVE – all packaging and Raffia prior to burning.

2. BURN IT SAFELY – away from drafts and on a flat, heat resistant, level surface. Use appropriate candle holder and never place directly on furniture.

3. LET THE WAX POOL – 1 hour for every inch the candle is wide ie: a 3” pillar should burn a minimum of 3-4 hours every time.

4. HUG YOUR CANDLE – When the wax pool reaches the candle’s edge, gently ‘hug’ the outer edge of the candle in towards the wick by running your thumb along the top edge. This will help prevent dripping and help ensure pillar safety. Discontinue use when 1/2″ of wax remains.

5. KEEP YOUR SPACE – Candle arrangements made up of two or more pillar candles should be grouped 2” apart to prevent excessive buildup of heat, which can cause improper burning.

***Always remember -YOU ARE PLAYING WITH FIRE- Appropriate precautions should be taken every time you light a candle.
